This Equality and Diversity Policy sets out my commitment to promoting equality, valuing diversity, and ensuring inclusive practice within my counselling service. I am committed to providing a safe, respectful, and non-discriminatory environment for my clients.

Scope

This policy applies to all clients. It covers all aspects of service delivery from initial contact to after sessions.

Legal Framework

This policy reflects my obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and other relevant UK legislation. I recognize my responsibility to ensure that no person is treated less favourably on the grounds of protected characteristics including: age, disability, gender, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

Implementation

I will ensure that:
- I provide services free from bias or discrimination.
- Clients are listened to and treated with respect, regardless of background or identity.
- My services remain accessible and inclusive to all members of the community.
